To all returning and prospective players for the fall of 2017. I hope everyone’s school year finished well and you are all having a great summer! I’m looking forward to working with everyone and happy to be able to offer some opportunities to participate in volleyball this summer!
First we will have open gym for the girls from 4:00pm to 6:00pm on Mondays and Wednesdays every week of June except the 19th-23rd. These open gyms will be directed by myself or one of the lower level coaches if I am unavailable. They will involve training opportunities, but more importantly a chance for the girls to get to know the staff and play with each other in the off season.
We are currently trying to organize a camp through Community Schools. The week of June 19th through 22nd we will be offering a 4 day camp. Each night from 6:00pm to 8:00pm we will take the girls through various aspect of the game, with each day specifically centered around a skill. We are also lucky enough to have David Rubio, the coach at the University of Arizona, coming to lead one of the sessions of camp for us! Pending the approval by the district we will have a flyer for everyone ASAP with information about cost and registration.
This summer we are hoping to send two teams to the David Rubio Team camp. This camp takes place July 14th through 16th and our teams are open to all players enrolled at Foothills. Whether you are an incoming freshmen or a returning senior we’d like to see you playing in the team camp so please get the registration forms to me. You can scan and email them or mail them to myself:

The final part of what we are looking to offer is strength and conditioning training. If there are enough girls interested we are looking to offer training sessions through Performance Lab at a group rate. It would likely be 2-3 days a week, depending on the schedule of the gym. You can just shoot me a quick email about interest in a weights program so we can coordinate with them about a group rate.
If you have any questions, feel free to email me, call or text.
